Human Rights Commissioner Moskalkova supports euthanasia of terminally ill with relatives' consent

MOSCOW. Sept 2 (Interfax) - Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova stands for using euthanasia in case relatives of a terminally ill patient consent to that.

"If a person is suffering and their immediate family came to [the conclusion of] ending this suffering, than I, not even as a human rights commissioner, but as a person, would support the idea of granting this right," Moskalkova said, while delivering a lecture at the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University on Friday.

"I believe, it is very humane," she said.
