Search under way for militants who killed officer, injured 2 servicemen in Dagestan's Magaramkent district

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Servicemen of the Russian law enforcement forces continue the search for militants in the area of the Samur forest, where the clash with the gang has taken place, regional law enforcement agencies told Interfax on Sunday.

"Currently, the area of the Samur forest is blocked. One of three injured servicemen, supposedly an officer, died, another two servicemen have been evacuated from the clash scene," he said.

"As of now, the clash is over, the search is under way for the militants," he said.

A source has earlier told the news agency that three servicemen had been injured in the skirmish near the Dagestani village of Samur.
