Militants killed in Dagestan related to road police post explosion, hunters and local resident homicide - source

MAKHACHKALA. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Two militants killed in an anti-terrorism operation in the Magaramkent district of Dagestan were on the federal most wanted list for organizing explosions and murder, a source from the regional law enforcement authorities told Interfax.

"According to the preliminary information, the killed militants have been identified as Murad Shamsudinov and Farid Saidov. Both men were wanted for organizing and taking part in a terror attack on the Jemikent road police post in the Derbent district on February 15, 2016," the source said.

The militants were also involved in the killing of hunters and a local resident in the Magaramkent district, he said.
