Andrei Vagner becomes interim head of T Plus

MOSCOW. Sept 6 (Interfax) - Andrei Vagner, first deputy general director of T Plus , has been appointed the power company's interim head, T Plus said in a statement

The company's previous head, Boris Vainzikher, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of large-scale bribery under Part 5, Article 291 of Russia's Criminal Code.

Both Vagner and Vainzikher held senior posts at the old electricity holding, Unified Energy Systems (UES). Vagner headed the TGK-2 territorial generating company, which was spun off when UES was disbanded. He became first vice president of IES, as T Plus used to be known, at the end of 2009.

"The company continues to operate as normal in all 16 regions in which it has a presence. All power plants and heat networks are preparing equipment as planned for the autumn-winter heating season," T Plus quoted Vagner as saying

"T Plus is cooperating with the investigation and providing all paperwork requested in the framework of the criminal case into corruption in the Republic of Komi," Vagner said.
