Ringleader presumably killed in Izberbash village in Dagestan - source
MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - A certain Khalinbekov, local ringleader, has been presumably killed in Izberbash, a source from the law enforcement authorities told Interfax.
"According to preliminary information, a militant has been killed in a blocked house in Izberbash. It could be a local ringleader, Khalinbekov," he said.
The identity of the killed man is now being established, he said.
An anti-terrorism operation regime was imposed in the Dagestani village of Izberbash at 6 a.m. Moscow time on Wednesday, a representative of the anti-terrorism operation staff said.
The source also said that members of that ring might be involved in the attack on a road police patrol in August 2016, when two police officers died.
