Date of Kerry-Lavrov meeting yet to be chosen, it may be held soon - Gatilov
MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry may meet in the near future, Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said.
"Diplomatic consultations between Russia and the United States are in progress. There is no specific date as of yet but it [the meeting] may be held in the near future," he told the press on Wednesday.
Involvement of UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura in the meeting has not been discussed, he said.
"That will depend on where de Mistura is at the moment. If he is in Geneva, he may join in at some point," he said.
