Vietnamese president plans to visit Russia, date yet to be set - charge d'affaires in Moscow
MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - A visit of Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang to Russia is being worked on, Vietnamese Charge d'Affaires in Moscow Lai Ngoc Doan said.
"Visits of our senior officials, including our new president, to the Russian Federation are planned this year and next year. The schedule is being specified," Lai Ngoc Doan told Interfax in an interview.
"A new government was formed following elections in Vietnam. The first foreign visit of our prime minister was paid to Russia in May of this year. We see Russia not only as a large world power but also a No1 priority of our foreign policy as a very close friend," he said.
