Putin congratulates Rahmon on Tajikistan's 25th anniversary of independence
MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of congratulations to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on the 25 anniversary of the declaration of the country's independence, the Kremlin press service said.
The Russian president highly praised the success Tajikistan achieved in the last quarter of a century in solving vital issues of economic, social and scientific and technical development and the republic's authority on the global scene.
Putin noted the dynamic development of the relations between the two countries in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance, expansion of a positive political dialogue, bilateral cooperation in various directions, as well as interaction as part of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and other multi-faceted organizations.
Putin expressed confidence in the further increase of the entire complex of Russian-Tajik ties for the benefit of the friendly peoples of the two countries in line with the strengthening of regional stability and security.
