MiG Aircraft Corporation to develop new drone for Russian military - CEO

KUBINKA (Moscow region). Sept 9 (Interfax) - MiG Aircraft Corporation will develop an unmanned aerial vehicle for the Russian Defense Ministry and the projects' dimensional parameters have by now been determined, MiG Aircraft Corporation former CEO Sergei Korotkov, who will chair the board of directors at MiG, told reporters on Tuesday.

"We have built up the project base. We have resources and technologies. We have preliminarily projected the dimensions of the vehicle: five tonnes. But specific technical specifications of the vehicle will be determined to comply with the assignment that the Defense Ministry will give us," Korotkov said.

Korotkov added that the drone's specific dimensional parameters are not ultimately designated, as they may be completely altered, along with its class and equipment, subject to the goals to be set by the customer, the Russian Ministry of Defense.
