ADB names new Country Director in Kazakhstan
ALMATY. Sept 13 (Interfax) - Giovanni Capannelli will head the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Office in Kazakhstan.
Capannelli took over from Jinlin Yang, who died of a heart attack at the age of 55 on 27 March.
Prior to this appointment, Capannelli worked as chief economist of ADB's Central and West Asia Department.
ADB, based in Manila, is dedicated to reducing poverty in Asia and the Pacific through inclusive economic growth, environmentally sustainable growth, and regional integration. Established in 1966, it is owned by 67 members - 48 from the region.
