Russian Central Elections Commission hopes to resolve problem with voting by Russians in Ukraine in State Duma elections, Pamfilova asks to wait
MOSCOW. Sept 14 (Interfax) - The final decision on the issue of the voting by Russians who are in Ukraine will be made some time later, Russian Central Elections Commission Chairperson Ella Pamfilova said.
"I think we will resolve this issue. We are now considering different options," Pamfilova told reporters on Wednesday.
"Our specific final decision will be made some time later. I am currently not ready to comment because a whole number of issues now do not depend on me or on our colleagues. Wait a little, please," she said.
Pamfilova underlined that in any case, Russian citizens will have an opportunity to cast their ballots.
"Those willing to do it will have an opportunity to vote. I cannot say more right now," Pamfilova said.
