Central Elections Commission head says 181 complaints received regarding alleged violations on Single Voting Day, expects more to come
MOSCOW. Sept 19 (Interfax) - Russia's Central Elections Commission received 181 public appeals on the Single Voting Day this Sunday, Central Elections Commission Chairperson Ella Pamfilova said on Monday.
"In total, 181 appeals were received on the voting day. They contained reports on violations of electoral laws. People either didn't have time to [file complaints] or will do it later on," Pamfilova said when speaking in the Central Elections Commission on Monday.
"For reference, 117 appeals were received during the election of State Duma deputies back in 2011. I don't know what it means. Statistics is statistics and it's up to you how you interpret it," Pamfilova said.
