Lavrov counts on constructive interaction with new Estonian foreign minister
TALLINN. Sept 20 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has congratulated Jurgen Ligi on his appointment as Estonian foreign minister and has expressed hope for constructive efforts towards development of Russia-Estonia relations, the Russian Embassy in Tallinn said on Tuesday.
Lavrov said he was counting on "interaction for the sake of forming a constructive agenda in Russian-Estonian relations," the Embassy said.
Ligi was appointed Estonian foreign minister on September 12 after his predecessor, Marina Kaljurand, resigned and announced her presidential ambitions.
