Putin deems creation of armed forces' unified information-intelligence space as top task
IZHEVSK. Sept 20 (Interfax) - The creation of the unified information-intelligence space of the armed forces is the primary task, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Today, we will discuss the range of issues related to the guidelines to develop the armament system. And, first and foremost, we will discuss how the data intelligence complexes, which are playing a very important determinative role in the present-day battle, are being upgraded," Putin said at a meeting of the Military Industrial Commission.
"As of now, one of the top tasks is to create an armed forces' unified information-intelligence space. It needs to be based on advanced protected technologies and embrace every link of command from tactical to general staff," the head of state said.
