Lavrov meets with NATO secretary general
UNITED NATIONS (New York). Sept 22 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has had a bilateral meeting with UN Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
This is the first meeting since the NATO-Russia Council (NRC) session held in July, an Interfax correspondent reported.
Lavrov asked the NATO secretary general whether he had a busy schedule at the UN ministerial week. Stoltenberg said he came to New York on Sunday and that this would be his longest stay at the UN General Assembly.
The Russian minister said he arrived in New York on Monday.
Stoltenberg added that he would travel from New York to Boston to make a speech.
