Sberbank boosts issue of consumer credits by 50% in 8M to more than 500 bln rubles
MOSCOW. Sept 28 (Interfax) - Sberbank issued consumer credits for a sum of more than 500 billion rubles in 8M 2016, which is 50% more than in the same period of 2015, director of Sberbank's retail transaction products department Natalia Alymova told journalists.
She said that the volume of Sberbank's consumer credit portfolio as at September 1 amounted to 1.395 trillion rubles, in August the portfolio increased by 10 billion rubles.
"Sberbank's issue of consumer credits in August was the largest for the last two years. The volume of consumer credits in August amounted to 80 billion rubles with an average monthly figure of 52 billion rubles over two years," Alymova said. She said that the level of the issue in August evinces the continuing recovery of demand for consumer loans.
