Kyiv accuses militia of breaching truce in Donbas
KYIV. Sept 29 (Interfax) - Militia forces have opened fire on Ukrainian military positions in Donbas 25 times in the past 24 hours, the press center of Kyiv's army operation said on its Facebook account on Thursday.
Nine ceasefire violations were recorded in the Luhansk region, the press center said. The militia used grenade launchers, machineguns and small arms against Ukrainian army positions near Novooleksandrivka, Talakivka, Starohnativka, Shyrokyne and Vodyane. Shyrokyne and Maryinka also came under sniper fire, it said.
Eight shelling instances were reported in the Donetsk region, where militia units fired grenade launchers, machineguns and small arms near Avdiivka and Verkhnetoretske. Avdiivka also came under 82mm mortar fire, and infantry fighting vehicle weapons and anti-aircraft guns were used against Novhorodske, the press center said.
