Ukraine's Anti-Monopoly Committee asks court to order Gazprom to pay $3.3 bln fine

KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Anti-Monopoly Committee has filed a lawsuit in Kyiv Economic Court seeking to enforce a fine of nearly 86 billion hryvni (about $3.3 billion) the agency imposed on Gazprom , the Anti-Monopoly Committee reported.

It is also asking the court to order Gazprom to end legal violations stemming from abuse of its monopoly position on the market in natural gas transit on Ukraine's gas transmission system.

The official exchange rate on October 5 was 25.86 hryvni/$1.
