Office of Russia's UN envoy confirms UNSC to meet on Friday morning to discuss Syria

NEW YORK (UN). Oct 7 (Interfax) - The office of the Russian permanent representative to the United Nations has confirmed that the UN Security Council will hold an emergency session on Syria at Russia's initiative on Friday.

"Indeed, the session will start at 10:00 a.m.," a spokesman for the Russian office told Interfax.

The meeting will be held behind closed doors, he said.
