Moscow views barring of British ministers from wearing Apple Watches over Russian cyber attacks threat as 'utter nonsense'
MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Barring British ministers from wearing Apple Watches during British cabinet meetings amid concerns that they could be a target of Russian cyber attacks is nonsense, Russian presidential envoy for cyber security Andrei Krutskikh said.
"This is utter nonsense. This is abnormal logic. Such a psychology should be broken, because it may go too far," Krutskikh told journalists on Tuesday.
"Americans and Britons instead of speaking about Russia had better remember Edward Snowden, who said that the espionage network was created by the United States, not Russia and China," he said.
"If there is someone to be afraid of and if not to wear watches, then they should think more about their North American brothers," Krutskikh said.
He also suggested that British ministers "should not use Google, as well as everything made in the U.S., likewise computers and systems made there."
