Virtually no dialogue between Russia, U.S. because of Washington's attempts to dictate - Putin
MOSCOW. Oct 12 (Interfax) - It is hard to maintain dialogue with the Barack Obama Administration, as it looks more like the U.S.' attempt to impose its terms on others, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"You know, it's very hard to maintain dialogue with the incumbent [U.S.] administration. In fact, there is virtually no dialogue. How does it look like? The administration formulates what it needs and then insists on implementing this. But this is not dialogue, this is a kind of diktat. And this concerns nearly any issue," Putin said at the VTB Capital Investment Forum 'Russia Calling!' on Wednesday.
Russia remains open to dialogue, but it understands dialogue as a compromise rather than the enforcement of some terms, Putin said. "As for us, we are ready for dialogue, but dialogue is a search for a compromise," he said.
