Lawyer Feigin says he is banned from leaving Russia
MOSCOW. Oct 13 (Interfax) - The Moscow branch of the Russian Federal Bailiff Service has banned Mark Feigin, the Ukrainian man Roman Sushchenko's defense lawyer, from leaving the country, the lawyer told Interfax.
"I am not being let out of Russia because I am in the Federal Bailiff Service's database," Feigin said on Thursday.
He also put out on Twitter a copy of the resolution banning him from leaving Russia.
Earlier, Feigin told Interfax that he had been banned from leaving Russia by a court bailiff's resolution. At the same time, the lawyer noted that the Federal Bailiff Service did have a notice of him having repaid all of his debts.
Feigin defended a number of high-profile case, including against the Ukrainian woman Nadiya Savchenko, nationalist Ilya Goryachev, and members of the punk band Pussy Riot. At present, he defends the Ukrainian man, Roman Sushchenko, who is accused of espionage.
