Russian stock market opens with 0.1% growth for MICEX, RTS following oil
MOSCOW. Oct 14 (Interfax) - The Russian stock market opened on Friday with moderate growth in the prices of blue chips amid rising oil, the MICEX and RTS stock indexes rose by 0.1% in the first minute of trading, Bashneft shares fell.
The MICEX stock index rose 0.1% after the first minute of trading to 1978.25 and the RTS index rose 0.1% to 989.33. The majority of ruble-denominated blue chips on the Moscow Exchange rose within 1%.
The dollar fell 5 kopecks to 62.98 rubles.
