DPR to initiate videoconference of Contact Group, it may take place on Monday or Tuesday
MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is trying to initiate an extraordinary videoconference of the Contact Group on settlement of the situation in the southeastern Ukraine, the DPR envoy to the negotiations Denis Pushilin said on Monday.
"We are currently trying to initiate an extraordinary videoconference for the purpose of stopping the actions of Kyiv, which we see in the south of our republic," Pushilin said during a broadcast of the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
In turn, a source at the negotiations told Interfax that the videoconference may be appointed for today or tomorrow. "Initially, the videoconference was scheduled for October 19, but due to the recent events and the general situation it is likely to take place even today or tomorrow," the source said.
Meanwhile, commenting on the investigation of the militia commander Arseny Pavlov [known as Motorola], Pushilin said that "there are clues" for the investigators.
"Kyiv is taking any steps to undermine the Minsk Agreements, to provoke us directly by any action and to have an opportunity to accuse us of failure [of the agreements] and, unfortunately, all Kyiv can manage now is terror attacks, sabotage attempts and provocations," Pushilin said.
Pavlov was killed in an explosion in Donetsk on October 16, when he was returning home to his family in an elevator.
