Russian coal output up 6% in 9M - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Russia raised coal production 6% year-on-year in January-September to 284 million tonnes, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.

Coal output in September edged up 0.2% year-on-year but was down 4.9% compared with August 2016.

Production of metallurgical coke rose 1.1% to 19.8 million tonnes in January-September.
