Russia launches Soyuz FG vehicle carrying Soyuz MS-02 manned spacecraft from Baikonur

BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan. Oct 19 (Interfax) - A Soyuz-FG launch vehicle carrying the Soyuz MS-02 manned spacecraft has been launched from Site 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome to the International Space Station (ISS).

"A Soyuz-FG launch vehicle has been launched successfully," Roscosmos reported on Wednesday.

In about nine minutes, the spacecraft should reach an orbit and separate from the vehicle's third stage. It is supposed to dock with the Russian segment of the ISS at 12:59 a.m. Moscow time on Friday, October 21.
