LPR positions come under fire from grenade launchers in Stanytsia Luhanska area
LUHANSK/KYIV. Oct 21 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian military have opened fire on militia positions in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska, the LPR Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"One attack by the Ukrainian army was registered in the period between October 20 and October 21. The enemy opened fire on our positions from the Stanytsia Luhanska track using automatic grenade launchers in the area of the monument to Prince Igor," the report said.
There are no casualties among the militia and civilian residents.
In the meantime, the Luhansk region's military-civil administration said the ceasefire regime was breached in the Stanytsia Luhanska area almost ten times in the past 24 hours. The enemy breached the ceasefire regime another six times in the past 24 hours after three morning attacks on Ukrainian military positions near Stanytsia Luhanska. "The enemy opened targeted fire on Ukrainian troops using 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various modifications and automatic weapons in Stanytsia Luhanska," the region's military-civil administration said on Facebook on Friday morning.
Additionally, the enemy breached the ceasefire regime twice not far from Trekhizbenka, using firearms. In the Novozvanovka area, targeted fire was opened using mounted anti-tank grenade launchers and large-caliber guns, the report said.
"No information on casualties and destruction has been received," Yuriy Garbuz, head of the region's military-civil administration, said.
