Militiaman killed in mortar strike - DPR
DONETSK. Oct 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have shelled the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) more than 250 times in the past 24 hours, injuring two people and killing one, Eduard Basurin of the DPR Defense Ministry told reporters on Tuesday.
"Ukrainian militants violated the ceasefire 252 times, including with the use of artillery and mortars of different calibers - 147 times," he said.
A man sustained multiple fragmentation wounds as the Ukrainian military shelled the village of Trudovske, he said.
"Five houses were also damaged in the populated localities of Zaitseve and Trudovke. One serviceman of the DPR army was killed and another one was wounded in the Ukrainian side's mortar strike," Basurin said.
