One soldier killed in violation of truce by Azerbaijan - Stepanakert

YEREVAN. Oct 26 (Interfax) - A military member of the Defense Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has died as a result of ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan, a spokesperson for the NKR defense ministry said.

"On October 26, at 5 p.m., the 20-year-old military serviceman Gurgen Aivazyan sustained a fatal gunshot wound while on duty northeast of the contact line as a result of truce violation by the enemy," the ministry said.

On Wednesday, the armed forces of Azerbaijan continued violating the truce, using AGS-17 and RPG-9 grenade launchers towards northeast of the contact line, according to the statement.
