OSCE mission practically installs surveillance camera in Petrovske disengagement sector
DONETSK. Oct 27 (Interfax) - The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission has practically installed a surveillance camera near the town of Petrovske, the mission press service said.
"The camera will broaden the mission's capacity for monitoring the disengagement areas in addition to regular patrols," a mission spokesman told reporters.
The OSCE SMM is determined to monitor and verify the disengagement of forces and hardware near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrovske and fully supports disengagement efforts of the sides, he said.
"The SMM needs safe, unlimited and unhampered access to every disengagement zone for the purposes of monitoring and verification of the disengagement of forces and hardware," he said.
"The access of mission observers to all the three disengagement zones is either limited or totally impossible," he said.
"The sides are responsible for safety and stable access of the SMM, while the Joint Center for Control and Coordination [JCCC] has been instructed to assist in the provision of SMM security and access," he said.
