Russian, Canadian deputy foreign ministers discuss Syria, Ukraine, arms control

MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and Canadian Assistant Deputy Foreign Minister Mark Gwozdecki have discussed arms control and the situation in Syria and in Ukraine.

"The state and prospects for Russian-Canadian dialogue were discussed in substance. The parties also touched on pressing issues on the international agenda, including arms control, the situation in Ukraine and in Syria. Despite existing differences, the exchange of views turned out to be meaningful and substantive," the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website.
