Elections in Donbas may only be held in accordance with Ukrainian law - Kyiv

KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax) - Kyiv insists on holding elections in the part of Donbas uncontrolled by Ukraine only in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.

Darka Olifer, spokesperson for Ukraine's representative in the Trilateral Contact Group, clarified this position of the Ukrainian side in the group's political subgroup.

"Following the work of the political subgroup Ukraine reiterated its stance: the elections in the part of Donbas uncontrolled by Ukraine may only be held in accordance with Ukrainian legislation," Olifer wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
