Baku, Stepanakert again trade accusations of multiple truce breaches
BAKU. Nov 18 (Interfax-AVN) - The Armenian army breached the truce 38 times on the line of contact over the past day, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a report.
"The gunfire came from the territory of Armenia as well as the occupied Azerbaijani lands," it said.
In turn, the Defense Ministry of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) told Interfax about 100 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan in the early hours of Friday.
"The Azerbaijani army fired over 2,400 shots from small arms of various calibers towards Armenian positions," it said.
"The Azerbaijani army also fired five shots from an automatic mounted grenade launcher in the northeastern sector of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani contact line," a ministry representative said.
According to him, Karabakh forward units "did not return fire and continued to successfully accomplish their combat missions."
