Russian grain inventories up 8.2% to 48 mln tonnes on November 1 - Rosstat
MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Russian grain stocks amounted to 48.031 million tonnes on November 1, 8.2% or 3.628 million tonnes more than a year previously, the Russian Federal State Statistics Agency (Rosstat) said.
Agricultural organizations had 31.308 million tonnes, or 7.2% more grain, while procurement and milling enterprises had 16.723 million tonnes, up 10.1%.
Procurement and milling enterprises had 12.516 million tonnes of wheat on November 1, up 16.2% year-on-year. This included 8.314 million tonnes of food wheat, 4.9% more.
Rye stocks were up 15.5% at 602,000 tonnes and food rye stocks were up 19.1% at 542,000 tonnes.
Stocks of buckwheat were up 13.4% to 93,000 tonnes, millet by 66.8% to 31,000 tonnes, barley by 0.8% to 1.863 million tonnes.
At the same time, corn stocks fell by 24.3% to 1.292 million tonnes.
