Swiss deputy foreign minister to become ambassador to Russia
MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Swiss Deputy Foreign Minister Yves Rossier will become Switzerland's new ambassador in Moscow, the embassy spokesperson told Interfax.
The diplomat is expected to arrive in Russia after February 1.
At a farewell reception held in Moscow the outgoing Swiss ambassador, Pierre Helg thanked Russian officials, heads and staff of the presidential administration and the Foreign Ministry for hospitality.
"I enjoyed discovering this amazing country," he said.
