Russia boosts poultry production 3.2% in 10M - AgMin
MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Russian agricultural organizations produced 4.6 million tonnes of poultry in live weight in 10M 2016, up 3.2%, or 146,300 tonnes, compared to the same period in 2015, the Russian Agriculture Ministry said.
Egg production also grew by 3.2% to 28.07 billion eggs.
Citing Rosstat data, the Agriculture Ministry said that in October the average price of agriculture producers for poultry and eggs was 103.58 rubles per kilogram and 43.46 rubles per 10 eggs respectively.
Prices rose in comparison to September when a kilogram of poultry averaged 102 rubles and 10 eggs averaged 37.73 rubles.
In 10M 2016 agricultural organizations increased poultry production in the regions of Bryansk, Penza, Rostov, Moscow, Mordovia and Stavropol while egg production increased in the regions of Bashkortostan, Rostov, Belgorod, Voronezh, Perm and Krasnodar.
