Lavrov, envoys, ambassadors of CSTO member counties discuss int'l, regional security - Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a working meeting with envoys and ambassadors of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member countries in Moscow on Friday; the sides reviewed the work as part of the organization and touched on topics of security, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha and CSTO Chief of the Joint Staff Anatoly Sidorov participated in the meeting, the ministry said on its website.
"During the meeting the sides reviewed the results of the work as part of the organization this year, touched on topics of international and regional security, including in the context of the session of the CSTO's Collective Security Council, which took place in Yerevan on October 14, 2016," the ministry said.
"The sides also discussed issues of foreign policy coordination, including preparations for a working meeting of foreign ministers of the CSTO member counties on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Hamburg on December 8, as well as for the CSTO's Collective Security Council in St. Petersburg on December 26," the ministry said.
