Russia, Armenia discuss SSJ-100 supplies as part of creation of national carrier in country - Manturov
MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Russia discussed with Armenia supplies of Sukhoi Superject-100 aircraft to Armenia as part of creation of the national carrier there, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters.
"This also applies to Hungary, this applies to Armenia, where I was on Tuesday and discussed this issue," he said.
The minister said that the agreement to actively elaborate on this subject and form specific joint proposals was reached with Armenian colleagues.
"We continue to work on creation of the national carrier [with Hungary]. Now we will also work on this issue in Armenia," Manturov said, replying to a question regarding aircraft supplies to Hungary as part of creation of a joint airline.
He said that Russia's main interest is in promoting a Russian manufacturer. Primarily, this is about SSJ aircraft, because today they are the main product of Russian civilian aircraft engineering, Manturov said.
