Exercise involving surface-to-air missile launches in Kherson region is proceeding without failures - Ukraine's Defense Ministry
KYIV. Dec 1 (Interfax) - The practical phase of flight tests of intermediate-range guided missiles, which began in the Kherson region on Thursday as part of the Ukrainian Air Force exercise, is going according to plan, Ukrainian Defense Ministry official Oleksandr Motuzyanik said.
"No failures have been registered in the exercise as of this minute. No provocation by the Russian Federation in connection with their threats addressed to this exercise have been registered yet," Motuzyanik said on 112.Ukraine television on Thursday.
The exercise, including the surface-to-air missile tests, are routine and preparations for them have been ongoing for a long time. "It's a very important exercise for us. The Ukrainian Air Force prepared for it for almost a year," Motuzyanik said.
