Budget will receive proceeds from Rosneft privatization before Dec 15 - Kremlin
MOSCOW. Dec 5 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is confident that it will receive proceeds from the privatization of Rosneft for the budget on time.
"If I'm not mistaken, we orient ourselves toward receiving the proceeds from the privatization for the budget on December 15. We orient ourselves toward that deadline. We are confident that deadline will be observed," Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists.
He said that all the nuances of the processes which took place had been agreed upon by the government as well as the president.
Peskov gave the comment in response to a question on whether it was possible that the head of Rosneft Igor Sechin could use his long acquaintance with the president to push back the deadline of the privatization of 19.5% of Rosneft. The question was reinforced by the fact that December 5 was the deadline to privatize the stake, and yet there has been no news on that account by either the government or Rosneft.
