Moscow, Ankara not yet in talks over supply of air defense systems - head of Russia's Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation

GORKI. Dec 6 (Interfax) - The issue of a possible delivery of Russian air defense systems to Turkey is not currently under discussion, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Alexander Fomin, said.

"No, no substantive talks are being held," he told reporters, responding to the relevant question from Interfax.

In October, the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the topic of military-technical cooperation had been raised at a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul, a possibility had been discussed of supplying various elements of air defense systems, should Turkey be interested.
