Putin, Maduro discuss future meeting of energy ministers from OPEC, non-OPEC countries - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro discussed by phone on Tuesday the global oil market situation and a meeting of energy ministers from OPEC and non-OPEC countries due in Vienna on December 10, the Kremlin press service said.

"The leaders also exchanged opinions on the global market situation in the context of the OPEC agreement to reduce oil production levels and a meeting of energy ministers from OPEC and other oil producing countries due in Vienna on December 10," the report said.

"In addition, they conferred on topical aspects of the development of Russian-Venezuelan strategic cooperation, including joint projects in trade, the economy, energy and other fields," the Kremlin said.

The telephone conversation was initiated by the Venezuelan side.
