Kyiv sees 20 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas over past day
KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Twenty attacks on Ukrainian army positions were launched in Donbas over the past day, including by use of grenade launchers and heavy machineguns, the Ukrainian army staff said on Facebook on Thursday.
In the Mariupol sector, the hostiles fired 120mm mortars on Chermalyk and Shyrokyne, and 82mm mortars were used against Krasnohorivka, the report said, adding that sniper activity was observed in Novotroitske, and grenade launchers and small arms were fired near Lybidinske, Slavne and Pavlopil.
In the Donetsk sector, the hostiles fired 152mm and 122mm artillery on Vodyane, 120mm and 82mm mortars shelled Verkhnotoretske, and infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machineguns and small arms were engaged in attacks against Avdiivka and Luhanske, it said.
