Russian PM relieves Grigory Pirumov of deputy culture minister post

MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev relieved Grigory Pirumov of the post of Russian state secretary and deputy culture minister.

The relevant document, dated December 6, was published on the official online portal of legal information.

Pirumov is a suspect in the so-called 'case of restorers' and faces accusations of misappropriating state funds allocated for the restoration of cultural heritage items. He was remanded into custody at the Lefortovo pre-trial detention facility as part of this case.
