State Duma hopes to convene joint session of Russian and Iranian parliamentarians

MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - The International Affairs Committee of the State Duma, the lower house of Russia's parliament, may hold a joint session with its colleagues from Iran, committee chairman Leonid Slutsky said.

"I do not rule out that next year or in a year, in 2018, we will hold a joint session of the State Duma's International Affairs Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee of Iran's Parliament," he said at his committee's meeting on Thursday.
