RUSADA to receive 567 mln rubles from federal budget - Smirnov
MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - The budget of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) has been doubled; the money will be provided directly from the federal budget, Vitaly Smirnov, head of the independent public anti-doping commission, said.
"The founders of our agency [RUSADA] are now the Russian Olympic and Paralympic Committees. RUSADA is now financed directly from the budget, which has been more than doubled, to 567 million rubles," Smirnov said at the Olympic meeting on Thursday.
The agency will get this money annually over the course of three years, as approved by a relevant amendment to the budget.
