Putin doubts objectivity of international organizations' position on Syria
MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said he doubts the objectivity of foreign media coverage of Russian actions in Syria and that this was precisely why there has been no international reaction to the recent shelling attack on a Russian military hospital in Syria.
"This is obvious to everyone, our medics arrived there to resolve absolutely humanitarian problems, they arrived there not to take part in fighting but to help people, the local population. But we have not seen any assessment of what happened from any of the big international organizations," Putin said at a meeting of the presidential Council for human rights.
"Unfortunately, all this leaves us wondering how objective in general the coverage is of the events [in Syria] by some of our partners," the president said.
"I meant primarily the international structures which likened the slain Russian military medics with those who carried out strikes against the hospital, and did so clearly deliberately, knowing where this healthcare facility was located," Putin said.
"This is absolutely unacceptable and inadmissible. We will never be able to agree with this," the president said.
