KYIV. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Ukrainian parliamentarian Nadiya Savchenko and the leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics (DPR and LPR), Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky, did not attend the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) meeting in Minsk on December 7, Darka Olifer, the spokeswoman for Ukraine's representative in the Group and ex-president Leonid Kuchma, said.

"These individuals did not participate in the work of the Trilateral Contact Group on December 7, and were not supposed to," Olifer told Interfax on Monday.

A source said earlier that Plotnitsky and Zakharchenko flew in to Minsk on December 7.

On the morning of December 12, Yuri Tandit, an advisor to the chief of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) told the 112 Ukraine television channel that Savchenko had not warned the SBU of her trip to Minsk. "We gather information regarding not only to Nadiya Savchenko's trip to Belarus, but also other politicians' [trips] to other countries. Everything that has to do with hostages' release matters to us. We will check this information and will find out details, including with Nadiya Savchenko," Tandit said.
