Armenia ready to continue efforts on Karabakh settlement - President Sargsyan
YEREVAN. Dec 14 (Interfax) - In a meeting with French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Stephane Visconti, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said the republic is ready to continue working with the mediators on settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
"Serzh Sargsyan said he is hoping that the efforts of the co-chairs (Russia, the U.S. and France) on a solely peaceful solution to the problem and in accordance with the norms and principles of international law will be constructive. Sargsyan also said Armenia is ready to continue working with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to achieve this goal," the Armenian presidential press service said.
Visconti also met with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Wednesday.
According to the Foreign Ministry press service, Nalbandian said "an imperative for promoting the negotiation process is close observance of the agreements reached at the summits in Vienna and St. Petersburg."
