Kyiv court permission to arrest Yanukovych could be appealed at ECHR - lawyer

KYIV. Dec 15 (Interfax) - The defense lawyer for Ukraine's ex-president Viktor Yanukovych said that the ruling by the Pecherskyi district court of Kyiv which backed the prosecutor's request to allow his client's arrest will be appealed at relevant courts, including the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

"The court ruling will be appealed as one that is illegal and was delivered on the basis of forged documents. We will be appealing such decisions right down to the European Court of Human Rights," lawyer Vitaly Serdiuk told Interfax on Thursday.
